Data through the connected landscape is exploding. The big guns like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, etc. all been handing their own Big Data management for years and only recently have these technologies been making their way to other companies and enterprises. For the media industry from both publishing and advertising perspectives, Data is key in navigating strategy, understanding consumers and is a critical part of the very future growth of any media company. While everyone is trying to capitalize on the phenomenon from the Global Fortune 500 companies to across the SME’s, we thought this was a perfect topic to kick-off the New Year in 2012.

For this special MXM as we are honored to have Horace Dediu, Founder, Asymco and Heidi Messer, Chairman Collective[i] to bring us their knowledge and insight on the Big Data discussion. We will have also several leading brands and agencies to discuss how they tackled their own Big Data strategies with real cases and examples.

Goal

To bring together brands, agencies, marketers, innovators, technology companies to share and learn about the best cases of leveraging BigData via mobile, interactive and traditional media
